Meraki Remote Control “Error: Server disconnected (code: 1005)” VNC disconnect

When you are using Meraki Remote Control to connect to managed computer and you receive an errorĀ “Error: Server disconnected (code: 1005)” – VNC will disconnect.

  1. In Meraki Dashboard Click on Systems manage – Monitor – Clients and click on the client you are having problems with.
  2. Scroll down to Live Tools section and click on Process List
  3. Click Fetch Process list
  4. kill all winvnc.exe processes
  5. Try using Meraki Remote Control again and it will connect with no error now.
